As we step into a new year, we are excited to build on our progress and momentum from 2024.
We’ve refreshed our roadmap for 2025—here are some of the highlights.
Passage Roadmap
As we planned for 2025, we identified key priorities for the Passage ecosystem:
- Launch Closed Beta
- Increase marketplace activity
- Integrate the Passage platform, blockchain, and marketplace
- Continue growing the open-source community
- Launch Open Beta
Foundational Features
Q1 will lay the groundwork for our next phase of development, as we prepare to move from Alpha to Closed Beta.
To get there, we’re finalizing several key features:
- Single-Link Entry: 1-click access will make bringing larger groups into Passage seamless. We are thrilled for MIT Reality Hack to be the first to use it for their event!
- NFT Gating: Teams like Chihuahua and Strange Clan will soon be able to offer exclusive access to their tokenholder communities.
- Mobile Support: Join events in Passage right from your phone, unlocking greater accessibility for users across devices.
- Akash Integration: Setting our Akash integration live for all users will enable low-cost event hosting on permissionless GPUs.
Meanwhile, our open-source community is hard at work revamping the Passage Marketplace as we aim to onboard new collections. Expect updates like:
- Updated UI/UX: A refreshed interface and mobile support will improve the user experience across devices.
- Sales Dashboard: Dedicated sales data page will offer deeper insights into NFT trends and performance metrics.
- NFT Staking: Collection creators can reward users who stake their NFTs. (If you’re a Strange Clan NFT holder, stay tuned for details on egg staking!)
- ATOM Payments: Support for IBC ATOM as a currency will enable teams like AADAO to launch new NFT collections in ATOM.
- Indexer: Behind the scenes, updates are being made to the indexer to support all of these improvements.

Closed Beta Launch
The journey to Closed Beta culminates in Q2, when Passage will welcome a few hundred new users. This phase will tie key elements of the Passage blockchain into the platform, including:
- PASG Payments: Users can purchase streaming points with the native PASG token.
- NFTs: Integrating NFT assets will enable you to use 3D characters and companions in-world, as well as world templates that can be purchased on the marketplace.
- NFT Collection Launcher: A new interface for launching NFT collections will make it easy to launch assets with utility in Passage, while creating opportunities for 3D artists and Unreal developers to monetize their assets and worlds.

Open Beta Launch
Q3 and beyond will open the platform publicly in Open Beta, so anyone can sign up and start using Passage for their events and communities.
This phase will offer opportunities for non-Web3 users to engage with the token for tangible platform benefits, such as discounted streaming fees when paid in PASG.
We’ll also be adding Unreal Engine build tools so you can upload your own worlds built in Unreal Engine, along with plugin NFTs so you can gamify your Passage experiences and create unique in-world functionality.
